Dexter D’Costa has nearly 20 years of healthcare experience ranging from medical practice (community medicine), clinical informatics, clinical documentation integrity (CDI), revenue cycle outsourcing and business process optimization.
He has the unique experience of having worked for both a health system on the Provider side and revenue cycle management on the vendor side of the business. He has implemented mid-revenue cycle best practices at world-class client organizations and offshore global business centers. He is a subject matter expert on clinical documentation and coding. His areas of expertise are electronic medical records optimization, physician education and engagement, and data analytics.
He is a physician by training from India (MBBS) and has a Master’s in health administration (MHA) from University of Missouri and is CCDS-certified. He currently serves as Co-Chair for the ACDIS-Saint Louis Missouri Chapter and is President-Elect for the Mizzou HMI Alumni Organization (HMIAO) Board. He is based in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Susan Ingebretsen is the Director of Health Information Management for Optum supporting John Muir Health. Her role includes administrative responsibility for managing HIM operations, clinical documentation integrity and coding compliance. She has 30 years of health care experience ranging from health information management, corporate compliance/privacy, hospital information systems, clinical documentation improvement (CDI) programs, project management and workflow optimization.
She is a goal-oriented leader focusing on middle revenue growth, optimization, and best practices. She has unique experience in being one of the pioneers of developing and implementing a CDI program across a large Northern California integrated health system.
Susan has a Master’s in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS) from University of Phoenix and is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). She holds memberships in the American Health Information Management Association and is on the scholarship committee for the California Health Information Management Association. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
