Shielding the Future: Europe's Cyber Threat Landscape Report - Financial Services
In this 2024 Cloudflare study, we set out to build a better understanding of the threat landscape facing Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and their teams across Europe; interviewing more than 600 cybersecurity professionals from 16 markets across the region.
The report includes new findings on security preparedness and outcomes, revealing how organizations are coping with rising volumes of cybersecurity incidents, their levels of preparedness and the outcomes experienced. The results are both illuminating and alarming, with the survey revealing that across the region attacks are increasing, and yet not all organizations are sufficiently prepared.
Some highlights from the report :
- 42% of the respondents experienced at least one cybersecurity incident in the past 12 months.
- Only 34% of organizations think they are highly prepared to address a cybersecurity incident.
- Seven in ten of respondents (70%) from Financial Services organizations that have experienced attacks in the past 12 months estimated the financial impact of these to be at least €940,000.
