With its new National Cybersecurity Strategy, the Biden administration is doubling down on moving the Federal government to a zero trust security architecture, following last year’s mandate to set specific zero trust goals by the end of fiscal year 2024. Looking ahead, the strategy spells out that over the long term the government will “defend the Federal enterprise and modernize Federal systems in accordance with zero trust principles.” This commitment reinforces the urgent need to accelerate zero trust implementation across the government, an endeavor that requires new ways of conceptualizing security – and new tech skills. The ominous and evolving cybersecurity threat landscape only makes this mission more critical.

Watch our discussion on what we can expect on the road ahead, including how Federal leaders can pivot off the new strategy to drive innovation while implementing zero trust, educate and train the workforce – and secure the nation in the years to come.
